Say goodbye to tossing your contact lenses, blister packs, & foil lids in the trash or toilet! Lens2Recycle™ puts an end to this plastic waste, promotes recycling, and even rewards you for your eco-friendly efforts.
Have you ever considered how much plastic waste is generated from your contact lenses and packaging?
In North America there are 48 million consumers that purchase 15 billion lenses (units) per year and growing.
This is the weight of the 15 billion units sold. To put this into context, that is the weight of 9 fully loaded Space Shuttles.
Do not properly recyle their contact lenses and packaging. Even if you throw these items into your blue bin, in most cases they are too small to be recycled.
Throw their contact lenses down the drain or toilet. Approximately 3.4 billion lenses each year break down and end up in sewage sledge and water ways.
The first smart contact lens recycling appliance that fits nicely in your home.
Separate the foil from the blister pack and load them into the appropriate slots.
Push the button to start the Lens2Recycle compacting process. Repeat for each eye.
The waste material is captured in the specially designed waste cartridge which can hold 3 months of waste material.
Lens2Recycle - Separate. Push. Recycle.
The waste material collected is not single-use - it's circular.
The waste material is captured is specially designed waste cartridges that can hold 3-months worth of contact lenses, foil, and blister packs.
Every 6-months, we will automatically schedule a pick-up of the waste cartridges and send you replacement waste cartridges to keep your recycling going. The returned material is used in the creation of future Lens2Recycle units and waste cartridges.
VSP Innovation Challenge 2024
Earlier this summer, five startups were selected to participate in a four-week bootcamp during which they received expert mentorship and exclusive resources to further build their solutions and refine their value proposition.
Congratulations to RevitalVision on their well-deserved win! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the VSP mentors for their invaluable guidance, and to the audience for selecting Lens2Recycle for the Audience Choice Award. This honor is a validation of the work we're doing to make a sustainable impact. A huge thank you as well to VSP and Matter Health for hosting such an incredible event. We're excited for the future!

Feedback to help us build the best product for you.
I've been wearing contact lenses for 35 years, and I would just throw them in the garbage or (sometimes) in the toilet. I never thought about the impact of throwing away my contact lenses and blister packs, nor was ever educated on proper recycling.
Lens2Recycle has completely changed my perspective. My L2R unit sits proudly on my bathroom counter, making it incredibly convenient to recycle my lenses. Considering I never thought about contact lens recycling before, adopting this new routine has been surprisingly easy. As a contact lens wearer, why wouldn't you use it?
Since switching to daily contact lenses, I've been concerned about the waste they produce. We even have a recycling solution in our office. However, I found myself not using it consistently, resorting to collecting waste in a freezer bag and occasionally forgetting to recycle altogether.
Now, with Lens2Recycle in my bathroom, recycling is effortless and always on my mind. Its permanent presence reminds me to separate plastic from foil packaging and dispose of contact lenses properly, ensuring I never forget to recycle again.
Lens2Recycle has completely changed my recycling habits. Before, I thought I was recycling by tossing blister packs into the bin, but I didn't realize they weren't being properly recycled.
Now, with Lens2Recycle on my bathroom counter, it's easy and convenient to peel the foil and dispose of the components knowing they'll be recycled. Plus, its sleek design fits seamlessly into my bathroom environment, making me feel good about contributing to reducing plastic waste.
